The Dow Chemical Company is currently seeking a New University Graduate with a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering who will graduate in 2017 or in the Spring of 2018.
Opportunities in Manufacturing include a broad range of responsibilities in chemical plant safety and environmental performance, process operation, optimization, modification, maintenance, and technology implementation. Engineers must use sound technical judgment to enable safe and efficient plant operations. Electrical Engineer responsibilities may include: The design of diverse items including facility lighting, motor control center design & installation, power transformers, high & low voltage switchgear, and electrical heating of chemical equipment and pipelines. In addition, working with electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, and systems for industrial purposes will be expected. Electrical Engineers may also be required to prepare detailed specifications for the purchase of materials and equipment for capital projects and must be willing to familiarize themselves with the governing codes and be able to work with other engineering disciplines.
Position available in: Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.
Dow Canada has an Early Engineer Career Development program that fosters new engineers' development during their first 8 years with Dow. Individuals will have the opportunity to rotate through 2-3 jobs during this period. Historical rotation opportunities include typical engineering positions as well as unique opportunities such as EH&S Delivery, Project Management, etc.

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a 2.700 GPA is required
Willing and able to pursue a P.Eng with APEGA.
