Dow Chemical R&D Scientist in Auburn, Michigan
Dow is seeking a Silicon Carbide (SiC) Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) Scientist to support and develop CVD growth processes for a 100mm and 150mm Silicon Carbide manufacturing line. In this role, CVD Scientist will work with both internal and external customers – providing high level technical expertise for CVD process development and support. This position requires advanced knowledge of compound semiconductor processes related to growth, metrology, fabrication and testing. Excellent communication and organizational skills, and proven abilities in production control, problem solving, and project management are required.
Primary Responsibilities: *
Participate in and lead SiC epitaxial development projects.
Provide external customer support.
Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE’s) for development and improvement activities.
Analyze and provide feedback in support of process development.
Execute development and reactor qualification campaigns.
Work with Manufacturing Engineers to help identify and solve issues relating to SiC epitaxy.
Transfer newly developed CVD processes to production.
- Ph.D. in relevant engineering or science field.
Experience with Silicon Carbide CVD growth and materials characterization.
Greater than 5 years of experience with epitaxial growth in a production environment.
