Dow Chemical Account Manager in China, China

OLED business is a Market Facing Business belonging to Dow Electronic Materials.

The purpose of this job is to extend and growth OLED business in China. We need an individual who can drive the market and position our world-class products in China. This individual will also need to effectively coordinate activities between OLED R&D team, manufacturing and commercial team.

The candidate will provide technical support & sales at OLED area. In addition, the candidate will work closely with DT marketing teams to implement our business strategy for integration of components across the Dow EM DT portfolio in China.

The individual needs to have minimum 2 years commercial experience in Electronics or display related area. OLED related is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

(90%) Own product line development, sustainability, and strategy

  • Own the form, fit, and function of a product line both technically and financially

  • Monitor and assure functional groups (R&D, Development Engineering, Manufacturing, Analytical, Supply Chain, Engineering, etc.) are meeting expectations.

  • Aligning the functional roadmaps with the Product Roadmap and Marketing roadmap.

  • Approve specification and/or control limits in conjunction with customer quality managers

  • Account responsibility including price negotiation, forecast delivery, customers/competitors activities monitoring, customer relationship building-up, and sales channel management.

(10%) Be the engine for improvement activities in and from the commercial organization

  • Build and implement a continuous improvement portfolio of projects focusing on product improvements, commercial process improvement, or any other function identified that needs focus

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • A university bachelor degree in chemical /material/electronic engineering

  • At least 40% or more time spent on business trips in China

  • Multi-Tasking capability is required due to complexity of the job and customer requirement.

  • Fluent English writing & speaking is needed. Speaking Korean is plus.

Initiatives - self-motivated to design the sales channel, find new business opportunity, build-up customer relationship and proactively resolve potential channel conflicts

Market Focus - seeking, collecting and analyzing information on the customer base changes, competitor strategy, application trends

Consultative sales skill - provide consultation to the customers how they can run their businesses successful by leveraging his/her extensive technical and commercial skills

Teamwork and good communication skill are essential due to globally aligned business and working across cultures
