Dow Chemical Demand Manager in Collegeville, Pennsylvania
The Dow Chemical Company is currently seeking an experienced*Demand Manager for our Dow Consumer Solutions Business located at Midland, Michigan or Collegeville, PA. *
Dow Consumer Solutions combines complementary products, technologies and solutions to enable faster and more profitable growth in many key end-use markets, including home care, personal care, food, pharmaceuticals and medical. We are focused on accelerating innovation of new hybrid molecular solutions that incorporate both silicone and organic chemistries.

Depending on experience of the candidate the Demand Manager will be responsible for managing demand for all products in the Home and Personal Care portfolio in North America with annual demand in excess of $500 million/year.
This position reports to a Regional Commercial Leader for North America.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop demand plans for use in sales and operations planning and supply planning. Interact with sales, customer service, and supply chain operations to facilitate the planning process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop the aggregate demand plan and supporting assumptions on a monthly basis for the sales and operations planning work process by working with sales professionals. Ensure forecasts are updated by sales team monthly and flawless data integrity.
Develop marco forecast to validate the overall size of the business in the region and identify improvements or slippage in market share at specific accounts. Submit financial estimate to finance team on a monthly basis.
Develop, document, update and challenge the factors and assumptions supporting the demand plan.
Prepare and facilitate the monthly demand review meeting as a part of the integrated business planning process focused on preparing and delivering the long term demand forecast (3-18 months horizon) including analysis of major deviations from prior demand plans.
Develop, maintain and utilize forecasting and communication tools to accomplish tasks related to management of demand in the region (e.g. forecast accuracy metrics, demand dashboards).
Assist in the development of annual business plans and resulting presentations.
Manage customer account assignments in the businesses demand management tool, Datamart, as well as Diamond systems.
Monitor performance to the monthly, quarterly and annual demand plans. Measure and report actual vs. planned performance overall by market segment, sales territory, product family and mix.
Provide training to employees in all aspects of demand management and forecasting.
Act as the focal point for supply planning and assist in the resolution of issues related to supply and demand imbalances, product allocation and deviations from planned inventory levels.
Participate in the development of what if scenarios to resolve supply and demand imbalances.
Lead the weekly sales and operations execution meeting focused on reviewing open orders to ensure short term estimate are met.
Lead and participate in project teams focused on delivering improvements in business operations (e.g. Business Service Standards, Pricing Excellence, S&OP Redesign, etc.).
Provide expertise for complex statistical modeling analysis.
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience in a Data Analysis Role
