Dow Chemical Production Technician in Dalton, Georgia
The Dow Chemical Company in Dalton, Georgia has an exciting opportunity for a Process Technician for the STYROFOAM® plant.
Performing routine operation of basic control systems and devices to operate the STYROFOAM® process
Certify in all areas of the plant.
Using troubleshooting skills to resolve process, product quality, safety, and environmental problems.
Developing and following operating discipline, procedures and practices to ensure a safe and efficient operation of assigned duties.
The control, monitoring and adjustment of all control systems and manually operated equipment.
Identification of equipment requiring maintenance.
Clearing and tagging equipment as required and issuing Safe Work Permits for maintenance and project work.
Acting as a resource for other Technicians on job tasks and prioritization of work activities.
Performing tasks assigned per task list.
Accurately completing all required paperwork.
1 or more years of experience working in an industrial and/or manufacturing role OR military experience
Self-starter and a team player; work effectively with others.
Able to work a 12 hour rotating shift and overtime as required.
Able to work overtime when needed (including weekends & holidays).
Have a current, valid, United States driver license.
Versatile and have demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
Be proficient in computers to perform job tasks.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to communicate with a very diverse population which is spread across the site.
Strong reading comprehension and listening skills.
Strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.
Demonstrate leadership skills - inspire others and lead them through influence.
Able to work with independently with minimal supervision with in an empowered team environment.

Have a high regard for personal safety and the safety of others.
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
- Experience working in a Chemical manufacturing environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
