Dow Chemical Global Commercial Process Leader in Houston, Texas
The Dow Chemical Company's Dow Energy Business currently has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Global Commercial Process Leader, to be located at our Houston Dow Center, TX.
As the Commercial Process Leader you will work with the leadership team to design and implement work processes, Rules of Engagement, and tools needed to deliver on the Energy Business strategy and increase the productivity of the Energy business. You will engage and lead cross functional teams composed of Energy commercial managers in US, Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America, IT and finance to develop solutions and ensure business compliance. You will be also responsible for executing and improving the monthly Texas power invoicing process with an energy spend of $ 20 mm/month. In addition, you will engage with corporate functions to ensure compliance with various compliance reports such as: Compliance & Environmental Management reporting, Customer & Investor transparency via Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) Investor & Supply Chain Response reporting, and Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) questionnaire.
Owns an improvement and ideation pipeline for the business
Build new capabilities models and implement solutions to enable the implementation of the Energy business strategy globally, interacting and leading cross functional teams.
Identify, assess, and optimize the current work processes for energy and non energy sites across the regions aiming for increased productivity. Act as a focal point for the business in Corporate Compliance & Environmental Management Reporting
Owns the monthly power invoicing and closing process for Dow’s Texas sites, implement new tools to streamline the invoicing process, support the separation of duties and can be leverage to other 2nd party invoices processes.
Act as an emerging or knowledgeable contact in the areas of energy commercial activities, approaches, work processes and methods. Manage cross-functional projects and relationships. Leverage internal consulting skills, communications and project and work process methodologies
Participate on or lead cross-functional team projects to increase business profitability and enable new business opportunities.

Design and implement work processes to deliver on Global Energy Business Rules of Engagement and improve Business Productivity
Map current global work processes and define gaps vs the Energy Strategy
Lead multifunctional teams to develop solutions (i.e. accounting systems and reporting tools)
Write work processes and procedures
Lead Energy inputs related to Compliance & Environmental Management
Carbon Disclosure Program (CDP) is a report to ensure Dow meets voluntary reporting requirements, responding to customer, investor and supplier requests:
Responsible for completing and validating the CDP Investor & Supply Chain Response on behalf of Dow Energy and for reviewing with appropriate internal resources (Legal, Investor Relations and Office of the Corporate Secretary) and submit public report by the reporting deadlines.
Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), provides data and narratives for sustainability related reporting
Complete Dow Jones Sustainability Index questionnaire section on Climate Change (DJSI - Climate Change)
Address Auditing Report Finding
Develop a plan, track progress and deliver on the milestones
Lead multifunctional teams in different areas
Define and implement Energy Business reporting
Drive solution development for Energy Commercial Business reporting
Lead engagement and solution evaluation for Energy Contract Management database.
Be viewed as a change agent who can help articulate why we need to change to become more efficient and effective
Owns the closing, estimate and reporting activities of our Texas sites, selling over $ 350 million of power per year
Complete 100% on-time and accurate
Develop tools and processes to improve existing invoicing process
Leverage tools and process to invoicing other Energy Services to 2nd parties such as Olin
Analyze and report business performance
Excellent Communication Skills, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Value Creation, and Project Management capability are required.
Technical proficiency in the use of computer applications, and sound analytical skills are required.
Must be able to manage multiple projects.

Bachelor’s degree is required
