Dow Chemical Semiconductor Plasma Etch Development and Research Engineer in Marlborough, Massachusetts
We are looking for a highly self-motivatedPlasma Etch Development and Research Engineerthat will be located atMarlborough, MAwho will focus on creativity, problem-solving, overcoming technical challenges by expanding technical knowledge, and developing new concepts and inventions. The successful candidate should work with R&D researchers and engineers closely and provide support on understanding plasma etch by applying etch chemistry, physics, processes, and process integration.
Provide technical ownership and innovative solutions to R&D and engineering on etch-related activities for new products and continuous improvement projects.
Apply plasma physics, plasma chemistry, dry etch theories, process methods and research techniques to the investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical problems.
Work with etch process engineer to develop new or modified processes to support material development and screen.
Interact directly with internal and external customers, provide design of experiment, SPC techniques, and data analysis skills to determine appropriate limits and variables for process optimization and material specifications.
Interact with external vendors for new process and equipment demonstrations and evaluation.
Perform process and capability studies to ensure that key parameters are identified, monitored, and controlled.
MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering or other related engineering.
With 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, plasma physics and chemistry or relevant PhD work.
Able to travel Domestically and Internationally
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with an ongoing innovation mindset.
Understanding of integrated metrology techniques.
Experience in design of experiment, statistical analysis, and process control, including strong data analysis skills Hands-on experience in etch processing equipment such as AMAT, LAM and TEL highly preferred.
Fab Litho experience, Photoresist chemistry, and process control knowledge are all positive additional criteria for consideration.
