Dow Chemical Process Engineer in Midland, Michigan
The Dow Chemical Company has an opening for a Lead Process Engineer located in Midland Operations, Michigan.This role acts as a technical resource to lead projects and to provide expertise in specific fields, tools or theory on at least a site wide basis and as a part of related global networks. Value is derived from implementing projects consistent with global benchmarks for project team performance with successfully demonstrated plant operation. In addition, this role provides solutions which add value through work process, unit operations, operating condition or process technology improvements. This role reports to the Operations Function.

Ensure project scope is well defined and meets the business needs in a cost effective manner.
Ensure that the process design is safe, meets Dow’s Loss Prevention Principles and other Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
Drives project execution within their discipline
Provides input to project schedule and plans, then monitors progress against the plans
Ensure design deliverables for their discipline meet the needs of the project functions as intended, on time and within budget
Identifies technical problems and appropriately engages the business technical center and Subject Matter Experts to resolve issues.
Bachelor's Degree (16 years) in Chemical Engineering
Minimum 2 years of industry relevant experience preferably in a plant environment
Experience with process engineering Software design tools like ASPEN, HTRI and general computer skills like Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication skills.
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
