The company is looking forLead Analytical Specialist (Analytical Chemist) (m/f)withinAnalytical Sciences Laboratory* to be based inStade, Germany.
With practical experience and affinity towards hyphenated chromatographic (LC, 2D LC, SEC, GC) and mass spectrometric (MS) analysis techniques.
The primary focus of the job is in method development and problem solving for chemicals and plastics characterization in collaboration with manufacturing, research and development and technical development groups in Dow Europe. Apart from a theoretical and practical knowledge of chromatographic-mass spectrometric analysis techniques interest in organic and polymer chemistry is a plus. This position includes problem-solving through the use of multiple analytical techniques. In our daily work we handle multiple projects in parallel. Local and global team work with manufacturing and research colleagues is an important part of this versatile position.
PhD or experienced MSc in (applied) chemistry with background in analytical chemistry.
Interest and documented expertise in organic and/or polymer chemistry.
Passion about the application of analytical chemistry in industrial problem-solving and project support across multiple businesses.
Self-driven personality and excellent interpersonal skills.
Desire to collaborate with internal clients to deliver effective solutions.
Fine team player in local and international teams.
Initiative and leadership in project management.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing and presenting in English and German.
