Dow Chemical Information Systems Architect Specialist in Saginaw, Michigan
The Dow Chemical Companyhas an exciting opportunity within Enterprise Data Management (EDM) for the role of Information Systems Architect Specialist for the Product and Material domain. This AS position will ensure the implementation of systems, applications and tools are in alignment with strategic technical roadmaps related to the Product and Material domain. The AS will have depth of expertise in the development and maintenance of ECC Material Master, Master Data Governance (MDG) tool and the Change Management Tool (CMT). This position is located in Saginaw, MI.
The AS Role will provide technical and configuration expertise in the following areas:
Provide Product and Material system, applications and work process support.
Collaborate with Lead Architect Specialist (LAS), Enterprise Architect and peer Architect Specialists to deliver system capabilities, new requirements, enhancements, issues and strategic direction.
Partner with EDM support teams to design solutions, perform configuration and deliver efficient and effective processes and tools.
Define requirements and manage development work.
Participate in projects, document deliverables and collaborate with business/workstream partners as well as EDM Support teams.
Create functional design specifications, test plans and user document for functional and technical completeness.
Ensure work integration across both technical and functional team for work process and systems development.
Provide technical expertise in the Support Escalation process.
SAP Portfolio and Project Management (PPM)
Experience in ABAP and Programming
Participate in Global projects
Write functional design documents
Excellent verbal and written skills
Strong analytical knowledge and skills
Strong Data Content Expertise of how, when and where data is used in work processes and systems
Ability to work with diverse team members in different geographical locations
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to interact with Dow functions, expertise centers, businesses and internal EDM/DSS counterparts
SAP ECC/R3 skills
Applying development and testing methodology
Knowledge of Dow I/T Architecture
Knowledge of Configuration Migration processes
Ability to learn new processes and tools quickly
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Manage Information Systems, or other Business related degree is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Systems, Order to Cash, Quality, EH&S, or Supply Chain is required.
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
