There is an internship available for a person who has a strong feel for chemistry & troubleshooting & metallurgy. One of the Plants on the Dow Terneuzen site has a fascinating process with several embedded failure mechanisms and quite some exotic materials to withstand all these failure mechanisms.

  • Investigate some specific failure mechanisms and pinpoint where they start in the process

  • Optimizing the materials and the process to prevent the failure mechanisms or to mitigate the risk of the failure mechanisms

  • Optimize cleaning options and procedures

  • Optimize operating window

  • Develop training material needed to train all people involved

You can start between Q3 for a period of 6 months (exact timing to be discussed). You will be remunerated. In addition you can stay in a hotel room free of charge and share a living room and kitchen with max. 17 other (international) students.

  • You are studying for a/Masters degree/or equivalent in Engineering/Construction/Mechanical Engineering.

  • You have a good working knowledge of English.
