There is an internship available for a person who has a strong feel for chemistry & troubleshooting & metallurgy. One of the Plants on the Dow Terneuzen site has a fascinating process with several embedded failure mechanisms and quite some exotic materials to withstand all these failure mechanisms.
Investigate some specific failure mechanisms and pinpoint where they start in the process
Optimizing the materials and the process to prevent the failure mechanisms or to mitigate the risk of the failure mechanisms
Optimize cleaning options and procedures
Optimize operating window
Develop training material needed to train all people involved
You can start between Q3 for a period of 6 months (exact timing to be discussed). You will be remunerated. In addition you can stay in a hotel room free of charge and share a living room and kitchen with max. 17 other (international) students.
You are studying for a/Masters degree/or equivalent in Engineering/Construction/Mechanical Engineering.
You have a good working knowledge of English.
